That's right folks, Gerald and Christina have lost their minds. We've joined Team in Training which is a charity that raises money for blood cancer research. The catch is, we know that money is tight so we've agreed to participate in a half-marathon endurance event in an effort to loosen the purse strings. Pay to see us suffer, a cure for cancer, or just the tax donation; its all good. We're counting on you and so are tens of thousands of others. Let's all show what we're made of and make a stand against cancer.

The Beginning

I started out trying to get connected with Relay for Life then Autism Speaks, however for one reason or another it did not work out. Then I got a mailer about Team in Training and heard about it every time I turned on my radio. I looked it up online and decided to check it out. I signed Gerald and I up for the info sessions.
We attended the info session and registered the same day. Gerald has been the driving force to get us both out and walk two miles nearly everyday. He kept telling me I had to see it as a reward to be out there moving. I knew he was right. We have been walking for two weeks and today I found myself anticipating our walk together and walking in general. It happened quicker than I expected.
Our first team work out is this Saturday.
We will meet our team then go straight to Coalinga to help work on Janice's house. The accountability to others is really motivating.
